Triclosan

Description

Triclosan is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent, commonly used as a disinfectant or antiseptic in various products to reduce bacterial contamination. It’s found in personal care items like soaps, toothpaste, and deodorants, as well as in household products such as cleaning supplies, textiles, and even toys. Triclosan works by inhibiting bacterial enzymes and destabilizing bacterial membranes, thus preventing or slowing the growth of bacteria, fungi, and mildew.
